Patient Review 217:
"***** I went through initial tests with another dentist, but switched to Dr. O'Connor because he would provide more and a better treatment plan for thousands less. His office is smaller, but professional and personable, the other seemed all about the money. I posted a question on the website and within minutes, Dr. O'Connor himself called me back and talked for 20 minutes about my situation! I was hooked. They got me in quickly, were informative, honest, kind and attentive. Diane explained everything so well. I had permanent fixed implant surgery on March 15, 2017, and couldn't be happier with my treatment. They handed me a mirror after and I cried and said thank you many times. I can't even find the words to describe how much this surgery meant to me and when I looked in that mirror, I knew I had done the right thing and Dr. O'Connor and his staff were the perfect ones to do it. They are absolutely awesome and are now my new dentist for life!! If you are contemplating this surgery, do yourself a BIG favor and go to Dr. O'Connor. I trust them completely! I will never again be ashamed to talk or smile or laugh, it's done wonders for my self esteem already and Dr. O'Connor and his staff are TRULY happy for me. Thanks Dr.!!!!"
About the Hygienist: "She assisted in my surgery and was wonderful, I assume will be doing the cleaning on my implants."

"*****Doctor Tom O’Connor is a dedicated expert in his field. I can’t think of how he or anyone else could have done a better job for me, especially with such a difficult project. He installed a tooth implant on one of my upper front teeth. I personally know of two other people who had this procedure done with disastrous results. They should have gone to Dr. O’Conner. This man clearly strives to make his patients as comfortable as possible and achieve the best possible results. I would not consider using anyone else."
About the Hygienist: "The Hygienist Kathy is a very sweet young lady who does all she can to keep me comfortable while she cleans my teeth , even with my very sensitive gums."
About the Front Desk: "Mrs O'Connor is a most professional lady at the front desk and in the procedure room."
My Experience: Dental Implants done in 8 months
Patient Review 215:
"***** U*N*B*E*L*I*E*V*A*B*L*E!!! Have fears going to a Dentist? Not any longer. After having one of my teeth surgically extracted (not your typical extraction), by Dr. Thomas E. O'Connor, I was amazed there was no discomfort or pain. Dr. O'Connor and his Experienced, Caring Staff made that visit most relaxing. When it comes to our mouths (an essential part of our body), it helps to have it taken care of professionally, when needed. So I say "THANK YOU Dr. O'Connor, Diane, and Kathy."

Patient Review 214:
"Dr. Tom and his staff are the absolute best. My teeth were literally grinding down and chipping away. He had told me as much for about 10 years and I finally got the courage to do so in order to save my teeth. It was certainly a process, but fully explained and laid out for me. It was a painless process and the transformation was remarkable. Compliments galore from family and friends. It makes me feel like a totally new person. I could not be happier with the result, much better than I imagined. He was very flexible with my schedule to make it happen. It certainly is not a cheap procedure and the insurance coverage was minimal as explained by him, but well worth it in order to save all of my teeth. I am 62 years old and my mouth has never looked better. He never pushed me but clearly and distinctly laid out the facts and options for my decision. He has a great sense of humor and his professionalism is unsurpassed. I would most highly recommend him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
About the Hygienist: "Cathy does a simply outstanding job and is always pleasant, cheerful and thorough."
About the Front Desk: "Diane compliments the entire office with her efficient, professional and personal attention to every detail. As with the entire office, the feeling is one of welcome, warmness, and comfort and that you the patient are the total caring focus and event."
My Experience: "Cosmetic Dentistry done in about one year."

Patient Review 213:
"I like going to the dentist. I never thought I'd write this and I'd wager you never thought you'd read it, either. I've seen too many dentists over the years with mixed results at best. Dr.Tom saved me from years of inconvenient living with all sorts of "stuff" that wouldn't help me eat properly nor look presentable (maybe a miracle here?). i now look, feel and eat as if I were fifty years younger and had the best dentist in town , which I believe I do. But here's the kicker: with sleep apnea I have a two piece device to take the place of the "machine" and since I have all my teeth (thanks implants), I can use it with ease. So, when dental needs arise, you have two choices, suffer or see Dr. Tom. I do NOT suffer."

"I was referred to Dr. O'Connor by my former dentist, who retired. He told me that Dr. O'Connor is the best around. I agree! He's warm, knowledgeable, gentle, and kind. I have considerable dental work and Dr. O'Connor is helping me maintain, repair, and improve it where necessary. In the past I've had a few bad experiences with other dentists, but I'm completely comfortable with Dr. O'Connor and his staff. They're accommodating and I feel genuinely cared for when I'm there."

"What's not to love about Dr. O'Connor! He's super friendly, easy to like, will not "sell" you on something you do not need, and is very, very particular about his work. I like that he gives complete instructions to both me and his dental assistant Diane (which is his wife who was formerly an Operating Room Nurse and extremely competent--they work well together!). He uses only advanced equipment, and has a high-tech office which is attractively decorated with photos of their underseas adventures. Besides routine procedures like cleaning and x-rays, I've had my chipped front tooth flawlessly filled, and 2 crowns which blend beautifully with my other teeth. I wouldn't go anywhere else."
Patient Review 208:

It was great to know all the cost before he started. And he remained in budget."

"I would highly recommend Dr O'Connor. His chair-side manner is amazing. He explains all procedures completely, and has state-of the art dental equipment. I had many procedures, like bone-grafting, implants, gum realignment, and more. I now have a great smile and perfect upper teeth. I am still perfecting my lower teeth and should be done with everything this summer. I had sedation dentistry and nitrous oxide, which makes everything pain-free. His office staff is great, too."

Patient Review 206:
"A lifetime of irresponsible dentistry is what led me to Dr. Thomas O’Connor. And I am so glad it did.
Dr. O’Connor gave me his undivided attention as we discussed my entire dental history and current condition of my teeth. At 58 yoa, my teeth were in the worst condition of my life; even after spending thousands and thousands of dollars plus hours and hours of grueling dental work for root canals, bridges and crowns.
We had lengthy conversations about my situation wherein I asked lots of questions and received answers I could understand and that made sense to me. Dr. Tom explained three different scenarios that offered a solution to my dental situation.
If anyone ever told me that I could have all my upper teeth pulled, a sinus lift/graft, and my front gum line reshaped, all in one visit without being unconscious, and not feel any pain or even discomfort! I would have told them they were nuts.
I had what is called sedation surgery. When I arrived at 7am for surgery (my sis drove me) it was dark and chilly out. I was already relaxed from the pill I had taken before bed. The atmosphere was very welcoming and calming. It was just me, Dr. Tom, his wife Diane, and a technician to monitor my vitals.
About the Hygienist: Diane even put a soft, plush blanket over me. I drank the sleepy juice and the next thing I remember was Diane telling me it was “Gatorade time”. That meant it was time for me to wake up and get some fluids in me.
My sister was there to pick me up. I went to her house so she could keep an eye on me and make sure I kept an ice pack on my jaw to minimize swelling. Dr. Tom and Diane called that evening to see how I was doing. When I say there was no pain, I truly mean “no pain” actually I would say there was minimal discomfort.
Even the day following surgery, Dr. Tom wanted me to come in so he could check me and also to show me how to remove my temporary denture and clean it. He told me that it may be an unpleasant experience because of the surgery being so recent. But, once again there was no pain and no discomfort. I was so relieved that it was over.
It has been about a month since surgery and my gums are still healing. Soon I will be undergoing sedation again for the 6 implants, more healing and then the grand day when I get my permanent overlay denture implant. Woo Hoo. I can’t wait.
I could not be happier with or have more confidence in Dr. Tom and Diane. I am so fortunate to have found them."
My Experience: Exam & Consultation, X-Rays on 32 teeth, Crowns on 8 teeth, Dental Implants on 6 teeth, Sedation Dentistry / Anesthesia on 16 teeth done in around 3 hours.

"The Doc has a great chairside manner, engaging and relaxing the patient. He is very knowledgeable about his job, engaged professionally among his peers in his work and the latest procedures, and he carefully explains procedures to whatever the interest level of the patient, using models, computer simulations, etc., laying out the sequence of events and what to expect, as well as offering the patient options. He personally describes and provides written instructions for the medications needed, the timing for taking them, and even provides some of them. He is accommodating of the patient, even if the patient has gag reflex, dental anxiety, white coat, or whatever. He personally calls after procedures to make sure that the patient is doing OK, offering advice on what to do and when to do it. In sum, he really cares about successfully meeting the needs of the patient, providing a quality service and product, and ensuring that the patient is very satisfied with the results."

"My visit was the second step in getting my implant--putting the screw into my jawbone. He reviewed x-rays beforehand to make sure he did not hit the nerve of that tooth. I did not even feel the needle he used to numb me up before he started the procedure. He explained what he would be doing and that I should not feel any pain. I did not feel any pain. He and Diane are a great team and always make me feel at ease. Both are very caring and want to make as comfortable as possible. They always ask if I'm doing alright during the procedure and tell me how great I am doing during the procedure. I can absolutely say that my dentist and his staff are the best and I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a dentist."

Patient Review 200:
"After having my second bridge break, I decided to go with implants. Dr. O'Connor was very concerned about the fact that I had an injection of Reclast a year ago for Osteoporosis Treatment. Since this injection could affect the healing process of the bones where my implants would be placed, he contacted a Doctor who was very knowledgeable about the Reclast infusion and the healing of bones as a result of this infusion. Dr. O'Connor gave me many papers of research to read about this concern. After discussing this concern with Dr. O'Connor, I was very confident that the implants would be a good choice for me instead of another "long" bridge in my mouth. Everything went well with the implants and I am grateful that I made the decision to have the implants. Dr. O'Connor and his staff are the "best"!!! I am glad someone suggested Dr. O'Connor to me 30 years ago. I have always been satisfied with his expertise in dental care!"

"Dr. O'Connor & his staff came to my rescue after my self inflicted delay in updating my 30 year old crowns & failing dental work. Realizing I had avoided photographs & smiling for the camera for nearly 10 years & with a looming milestone birthday (60) I consulted with Dr. O'Connor & we ventured into a precise & methodical plan to get me back to beaming. I had a broken 3 tooth posterior bridge crown that needed updating, a 30+ year old central incisor crown that had become hideous, the metal post (root) had leached metal & stained my gums dark. In the past I had always had a "gummy" though pretty smile...my previous orthodontic work in my 20's had all strayed to the left and right and my self esteem & the smile I had always counted on was not doing me or anyone else any favors! I had worked as an orthodontist assistant decades ago and remembered just enough to trust Dr. Tom & his team were honest, professional & gifted in the cosmetic dentistry & dental implant industry. Dr. O'Connor's methodical and precise plan to remedy my sad aging smile with bone grafts, skin (gum) grafts, implants & porcelain crowns gave me the brightest smile ever. Since then not a day goes by without someone complimenting me on my (new) beautiful smile!"

"Dr. O'Connor, Diane and Kathy are the shinning example of professionalism. I had a full mouth extraction and the procedure was painless, they take every step necessary to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed through the whole process--- explaining each step as you go. From the first phone call to the last check up, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and ease any nervousness about your dental procedures. Although there were numerous reviews after reading only a handful, I was convinced this was the right choice for me. Before you make your final decision, check out the rest, but do yourself a favor and go to the best. They are truly an amazing, caring and qualified staff. They not only gave me my self confidence and my smile back I have also gained 3 wonderful friends I will cherish forever."

"Dr O'Connor is truly a master of his profession. My situation was extremely bad with recurrent infections because of my teeth. Dr. O'Connor met with me immediately and got the situation under control very quickly. The staff was awesome at scheduling my appointments and keeping me on track with the many procedures I endured. I truly love my new implants and consider myself very lucky to have found such an amazing dentist. I shopped around for months comparing prices and found that generally implants are very expensive wherever you go but I've got to say that Dr. O'Connor stayed very close to my original budget that we discussed prior to any work being started and I'm very satisfied with the whole experience. In conclusion, I've got to say that this TOP DOC does it all. You don't have to go to three different doctors as many suggested that I would have to do, Dr. O'Connor does it all from a-z. Thanks so much, Jim H."

Patient Review 191:
" I'm so pleased and grateful to have found Dr. Tom and his wonderful staff! I've seen many dentists and I've had the gamut of experiences, from good to awful. I can honestly say that this has been the most positive experience I've ever had at a dentist. It had been three years since I had seen a dentist and I knew had had some major decay. I'm a soda junkie, tooth grinder, and a few of my molars had started to sometimes ache. I had procrastinated enough and I finally decided to reclaim my health! I couldn't ask for more in a dentist than Dr. Tom. He was very warm and friendly, yet professional. I feel reassured to know he is a veteran in his field. He trained at WashU which is the best, and has been in practice for 35 years at the same locale; yet he is upbeat and enthusiastic like a newbie! His passion for dentistry is quite evident. He is clearly a master at his craft and he demonstrated his vast knowledge. He actually took the time to sit down with me in his office and educate me on all aspects of oral health. I have never had a dentist do this. We then discussed my case in depth and all of my options. I was very impressed by the advanced technology he used to compose his diagnosis, and there was no way to refute his findings. He informed me that several of my molars would eventually need crowns, however he advised me against crowns at this juncture. We decided to simply replace old defunct fillings and do sealants, since crowns do not last many years and would eventually need costly replacement(I am 32 years old). He demonstrated a very high degree of ethical conscience and I could tell his #1 priority was my my wellbeing patient, not making a profit. I came out of the exam with a detailed plan that visually described all of my upcoming treatments. My first round of fillings went extremely well. I was very nervous and he was quite understanding and calming! He was very gentle and the novacane injections were practically imperceptible. He often asked me how I was doing and he seemed very concerned for my comfort. I actually began to fall asleep despite the whiz of the drill! After the treatment I had very little soreness and I resumed normal activity. Several weeks later, I developed sensitivity to cold which is common with deep cavity fillings, but I became worried. I called the office and they scheduled me in immediately. He examined me gratis, reassured me that everything looked great, and gave me a free sealant which completely eased the sensitivity. Throughout all the proceedings, I never once felt an ounce of judgment despite my negligence of oral health and my neurotic antics! I am very happy.
About the Hygienist: Kathy is an absolute doll and she makes getting a dental cleaning as pleasant of an experience as possible! She is so sweet, cheerful, and upbeat. Her effervescence is practically contagious, and she really put me in a great mood! Her cleaning was thorough and detailed, yet she was very gentle and I had zero discomfort. I didn't even mind the scraping, which is something that usually makes me shudder. My teeth felt slick and smooth for days, and I wish I could duplicate the results at home.
About the Front Desk: Diane the office manager has a very friendly and pleasant demeanor. She is courteous, professional, and she runs the office in an incredibly efficient manner. The people who are best at their jobs are those who truly enjoy their profession, and I can tell Dianne has a passion for her job. I arrived for my first appointment five minutes late, very frazzled, and nervous. She was very understanding and kind!"

"Dr. O'Connor and his entire staff deserve and receive an A+ from my husband and me! Dr. O'Connor is a very knowledgeable and talented dentist, and indeed, an artist. I am so impressed with the two crowns he made for me recently--so perfect that they could fool a dentist! He has done ortho and an implant for my husband, also great. He is very thorough in explaining everything, and in offering various courses of treatment. All of the office equipment and techniques are state of the art. It is comforting to know that you are receiving expert advise from someone who is smart and passionate about preserving the health of your teeth for a lifetime! Diane is a wonderful manager and assistant, keeping the place running like a well-oiled machine. She thinks of questions before I have them! She prepares the claims, and I just need to drop it in the mail. Lastly, but very importantly, I receive amazing cleanings here, which is a high priority when I choose a dentist! Kathy spent at least 40 minutes with me and gave me great advise, and was very gentle. And did I mention that they each have lovely personalities? They are each so friendly and caring!! Come in for a cleaning, and experience all this practice has to offer! Thanks!!

I had teeth pulled and they were replaced by implants and upper and lower dentures. The whole process was managed perfectly by the doctor and his staff. It was all very convenient, efficient and virtually pain free. I am now healthier, happier and more confident with due to their excellent service."

"★★★★★ All procedures I have had done by Dr. O'Connor and his staff have been excellently done, with minium discomfort. I've had 2 gold crowns that fit well and feel great, without a repeat visit for any adjustments. Two major fillings, a wisdom tooth pulled, and even the teeth cleaning sessions have all been professionally done in a very pleasant, comfortable and friendly environment. My mouth is so happy!!! Dr. O'Connor, Diane, and Kathy always take the time to explain procedures, before and during the process, and make sure that I am comfortable. I appreciate their concern about my comfort, including providing sunglasses to wear so I'm not looking in the bright overhead lights. Great team!
About the Hygienist: Kathy is always so cheerful and makes me feel like I'm visiting with a friend. She is very professional and does such a great job cleaning my teeth. I actually look forward to the process since I get to visit and I get a free toothbrush and dental floss! I needed some restoration work done-crown, fillings replaced, new fillings-plus a teeth cleaning. While going to the dentist is not usually a fun experience, they made it painless and pleasant.
I really appreciate the small staff that ensures a personal experience and thorough care. They make sure there is plenty of time to complete the scheduled procedures with no rush, and they are great communicators. Dr. O'Connor explains every aspect of the procedure and they all make sure you are doing well throughout.

"★★★★★ I have always wanted a pretty smile. My sister had me go see her dentist, (Thomas O'Connor). From the first visit I felt completely relaxed with him and his staff. I had all my top teeth pulled and then got a denture. I have to say that it was the best visit I have ever had. Diane (his asst) along with Dr. O'Connor explained everything up front and have been very informative when I had questions. The day of the surgery I was nervous but they put me at ease the minute I got into the chair. I had sedation dentistry done and it went completly smooth without any trouble. I honestly do not remember much from that day due to the sedation, however I knew I was in good hands there. I have to say I have had some bad experiences with dentists in the past however I have now found one I can stay with for any other needs for the rest of my life. I would reccomend anyone looking for a dentist to call Dr. O'Connor first. Dr. O'Connor has the best chair side manners and he really cares about his patients. He makes himself available both during business hours as well as when he is off. His office is clean and soothing. All I can say is now I have a smile I am extremely proud of. It has changed my life and brought back self esteme."

"★★★★★ When I was told by a local dentist that I would need my front tooth removed due to an infection of a root that had not formed properly in childhood, I was indeed horrified. What made matters worse was that, while the tooth was infected, I was told I would not be scheduled to have it removed until three monthes down the road- with no antibiotic prescribed for the infection. What's more- as the underlying bone healed, the removed tooth would sit loose in an invisaline. Also, it would be best not to eat with the tooth in! Thus, I was horrified not only of the painful procedures ahead, but clearly the aesthetic prospects were grim as well. So, I researched online and found Dr. O'Connor. I knew he was the best choice immediately and I could not have been more right on. My front teeth are now more beautiful than they actually were naturally, the procedure was done the right way through every step, and I felt completely supported by the staff in an extremely sensitive process."

"I knew that I wanted Dr. O'Connor to be my dentist when my husband came home raving about him and his staff. My husband has unfortunately had to have several dental procedures done and has had bad experiences in the past leaving him somewhat anxious to visit dentists in general. Although, after just one visit to Dr. O'Connor's office he came home with a new outlook on his dental visits. He had to have a crown placed and was impressed at how easy and comfortable everyone made him feel and after he came home there was even a call from the office checking up on him to make sure he was doing well and that his mouth wasn't hurting him too much. When I went to my first appointment, Dr. O'Connor took me into his office and explained what would happen that day and answered all my questions, I was even given a bottle of water while we chatted. Then came the cleaning, and Kathy, the dental hygienist, could not have been more pleasant to work with. She was gentle and thorough. The only other procedure I have had with them is the process of having a night guard made because of a crack in one of my teeth and again, everything went smoothly and I had the guard within a month. I would definitely recommend him to any one of my friends or family."

"Dr. O'Connor and his entire staff are amazing!!!! Here is my brief story please read to the end. Over the years I had spent thousands of dollars maintaining by teeth, and was never happy with my smile and always in pain. At age of 49 I finally realize that I'm going to loose all of my top teeth, What should I do? I went for a consultation and Dr. Tom came up with a plan and estimated cost. I ponder over what to do for a whole year and checked with other dentist regarding the implant process. I finally decided that I wanted the best dentist, staff and overall painless experience available. I'm hear to say that even though we are in the first stages of the process, I couldn't be happier. I could have spent less, but strongly feel I wouldn't be as pleased with the results or overall process. The entire time I have been a patient I have felt that they truely care about what's best for me. What a change from my past experiences. If you have ever had painful or bad experiences at the dentist, try Dr. O'Connor's practice, you won't ever want to go anywhere else. I'm a fairly new patient of Dr. O'Connor's and have been to a number of dentists in the past due to having had to move frequently. None of my previous dentists have been nearly as wonderful as Dr. O'Connor. During my initial appointment, Dr. O'Connor explained my current dental condition as well as my future goals and treatment plan. During every visit since then, Dr. O'Connor and his team have been nothing short of spectacular. Diane is amazing, both in her dental work and her attention to every last detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem. She, Kathy, and Dr. O'Connor really pay attention to the small things, like my level of comfort during the visits. They always bring me a blanket (as I get cold easily), offer me magazines if I have to wait (even if just for 5 minutes), offer me beverages, check-in with me during the procedures to see how I'm doing, and also ask about how things are going in my personal life. They are also very accommodating of my busy schedule and they always try to schedule the appointments when they are most convenient for me. "Working with Dr. O'Connor and his wonderful staff has been a real pleasure. My husband broke a front bottom tooth that needed to be removed and was left with a large gap. The space was not large enough for a dental implant, so Dr. O'Connor suggested braces could bring the teeth together and lessen the gap. My husband just got his braces off (they were on less than a year!) and sure enough, the gap is gone! He just got his retainer this week to further fine tune what the braces accomplished. We have no doubts that everything will look great when all treatments are finished, and we were well-pleased with the cost. We just love Diane. She is always cheery but professional She calls us to remind us of upcoming appointments and, something we really appreciated, would call us if another appointment opened up that might work better with my husband's crazy work schedule. Plus, when we call back to confirm the appointment, she always sincerely thanks us for confirming. We really appreciate feeling like valued customers. He displays a rare combination of enthusiasm, awareness, optimism, and ability to communicate the complex simply. The only surprises that I experienced were acts of generosity. "When I was new in town, I picked Dr. O'Connor's office from an internet review; I have been pleasantly and completely satisfied. As a physician myself, I appreciate the bedside (chair-side?) manner of Dr. O'Connor and all of his staff. He speaks clearly, explains things well, shows visual aids, and ensures that the patient is a partner in decision making. I was born without adult tooth replacements for my second baby molars, so I saw Dr. O'Connor over the course of more than a year to have these two teeth (one at a time)pulled, implant posts placed and settled, then final tooth implants placed. The procedures were explained well. They worked around my crazy schedule. The whole treatment was painless. Dr. O'Connor called me later in the day (and gave me his home phone number for problems!). This type of work is very expensive, but they offered payment options. I had some other maintenance things done, but I never felt that unnecessary treatments were suggested or pressed. I would recommend this dentist to others without reservation."

Dr. O'Connor and Erin were AWESOME! They were very careful to take every precaution so that I didn't feel any pain during the procedure. They explained everything to me in advance so that I knew exactly what would happen. I was helped to my car and provided with a care package to take home with me. "I hadn't been to the dentist in many years and knew that I had some issues. I found Dr. O'Connor on Dr. Oogle and chose him because of the great reviews. I checked his website and found that his office offered many services including sedation dentistry ( I thought I might need it due to anxiety issues). I was impressed with the thorough initial exam and the ability to get the work done in a fairly short period of time.
The staff makes you feel so comfortable and explains everything in detail. They are happy to answer all of your questions. There was no pain and no need for sedation.
I am so happy with the way my teeth look after considerable work by Dr O'Connor (with Erin's Help) and Kathy's thorough but gentle cleaning and advice. Diane made the scheduling and insurance paper work easy.
Remember it is easier and less expensive to regularly care for your teeth than to wait and need a large amount of work like I did. Dr. O'Connor and his staff can help you with both and do it well."

"I have been with Dr. Tom since I was 7 years old (currently 37). I have been through braces, fillings on every tooth, root canals, wisdom teeth extraction (and a lot of other extractions)and emergency treatments and I wouldn't of changed dentists for anything! I am never in pain during or after a procedure. I often kid around and say I'd rather go to the dentist than any other doctor...and I am not kidding! I really feel like a long time friend more than a patient when I am there.
In 30 years I have only had about 2 or 3 hygienist. Dr. Tom does not have high employee turnover which makes the dental experience even better. The entire staff is awesome! They keep you laughing or at least interested in conversation so you don't realize that you are getting a small operation done!
The office is Clean and Calm! Dr. Tom and his staff are the best in St. Louis."
About the Hygienist: "I have had Kathy as my hygienist for about 9 years now (I think) and she is so awesome. I look forward to seeing her every 6 months for a cleaning. She does such a great job I wish insurance would let me get a cleaning every 3 months!"

"I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. O'Connor and his staff since I have started going to his office in the last few years. Dr. O'Connor has performed two different soft tissue allografts on me during the last year and they both turned out great. I had a fairly bad receding gum problem on my bottom teeth and after the allografts the change is amazing. My gums look so much better. Dr. O'Connor used conscious sedation to sedate me during the process which turned out really great. I experienced no pain and have very little memory of the process, but did not have to go through the problems and side effects of full sedation.
Dr. O'Connor's staff have been really great during both my allografts as well as all of my checkups and cleanings. They're very friendly and go out of their way to make sure everything turned out just as planned.

"If you're on this website, as I was once, you must be "needing" a dentist who comes highly recommended. A dentist who would not only make you feel welcome and relaxed but also is sincere in your general well being. I had a very bad dentist 20 yrs ago, a rootcanal was done at that time, and I hurt for weeks! After that I stayed away. I had good teeth, but I knew I would have to go at some point , I just kept putting it off. Then I cracked a molar. So you can just imagne the extreme anxiety I was feeling, I had no choice but to find someone now. Diane brought me in right away. They were very thorough with my history and all my health issues. Dr. O'Connor went thru everything with me himself. He was very concerned with my "bad experience" and made it very clear that his office would make my experience as pleasurabe as they could. I had two procedures to endure, the removal of the cracked tooth along with a tooth on the opposite side needed removed also, which both ended up being implants. And let me tell you, both procedures were painless and anxiety free! In just 3 visits, his office has helped me overcome my anxiety and things could not have turned out any better! Dont look any further, this is the place for you!
About the Hygienist: Diane, Erin and Kathy are all so very nice and caring! They want to make sure you are comfortable and feel cared for. And they will do their very best to ensure that you do. He say me the day I called, and his staff was able to get me an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed the next day! I was very scared about having my teeth removed because my friends all told me about their painful experiences with their dentisits. Dr. O'Connor and his wonderful assistant Erin made the experience painless, and I must admit fun. I was not knocked for the procedure (which I was happy about because I have had a bad experience with anesthetics before). I was comfortable the entire time. The following two days at home after the surgery was fine. I was in very little pain, and my cheeks didn't even swell up. I was surprised how painless the recovery was since 3 of the 4 were impacted. I think Dr. O'Connor has proved to me that he deserves the highest rating of all the st. Louis dentists on this site. Imagine my surprise when I heard that everything wrong with my teeth was completely correctable. Over the course of about nine months I have had a surgical implant placed, some teeth filled and many crowned, bone grafting, a few tooth extractions, and a night guard made to protect my new smile. The entire process was made completely comfortable by the caring staff that makes you feel like family right from the very start. Thanks to Dr. Tom's remarkable expertise and expert use of conscious sedation every procedure was almost completely pain free and an astounding success. While I did worry that cost may be an issue I was quickly put at ease by their willingness to help me with financing options and ability to match whatever pace I could afford. I don't remember much of the procedure, but it was painless too. 10 days after, it's like I never had them in the first place."

"Let me start with saying I am terrified of dentists. Any kind of "foreign object" in my mouth or the sounds they make drives me crazy!!! Not only am I fearful of the "normal check-up", I've also had numerous terrible experiences with most of my previous dentists. Unfortunately this kept me away from any dentist visit for 8+ years. Obviously I was in desperate need of a check-up...
After checking out many reviews on this site I decided to give Dr. O'Connor and his staff a chance. I was sure to be forthcoming with my fears and prior experiences so they knew exactly what they were getting into! We planned my first few visits to be short and gradual. Dr. O'Connor was very patient and genuinely concerned about my fears. They helped me prepare for each visit by reminding me (the day before) to bring my headphones and take a relaxing walk to clear my mind. Who does that?! During the first cleaning the hygienist was sure to take multiple breaks to ask me how I was doing to calm me down.
After 5 visits I have had multiple procedures completed including having my wisdom teeth extracted. I'm very close to not even needing my headphones anymore! Thanks guys!
Patient, professional and genuinely concerned about your health and comfort. A++++ "

"I don't remember the first time I went to Dr. Tom, but I do remember that he is highly qualified and extremly competent. I have never been dissappointed with treatment, and have always been informed of possible posttreatment difficulties when noted. I have had two crowns since being a patient and a few fillings replaced. He and his staff are very aware of me as a client, and are always concerned about my dental health and fitness as well as my overall health in general. Dr. Tom always makes me feel at ease and he involves me in treatment strategies by giving me appropriate information. I think that for my healthcare dollar, I get a tremendous amount back for what I have spent. All in all, he keeps me up to date on the status of my teeth and possible procedures in the future. After seeing four or five dentists over the years, I can safely say that Dr. O'Connor is by far the best!"
About the Hygienist: "Cathy is very competent and highly professional in her duties. She keeps the patient informed during hygiene treatments, and seeks to educate the dental client on proper tooth and gum care. I had trIed several Dentist in my area with no luck and finally searched the internet for Dentist reviews that would address my concerns and found Dr. O'Connor. I decided to go see Dr. O'Connor and from the very first visit I knew I had found my team. Everyone made me feel extremely comfortable as they spent the time to really understand my concerns while doing the neccesary work to put a plan (18 months) in place to address the dental work I required and also provide me the smile that I had always wanted.
Dr. O'Connor and his team are outstanding when it came to making sure that I was comfortable during all of the procedures that had to be completed. They take their time and do it right the first time. You are made to feel like you are his only patient. Other Dentists I have seen rush from patient to patient - not with Dr. O'Connor.

"Dr. Tom O'Connor and his staff are like old friends, although I have been a patient for 4 months only. First they carried out a comprehensive exam of my teeth, gum, mouth. Then Dr. O'Connor evaluated my situation and explained his recommendations in a very friendly manner. One of my molar teeth was missing, therefore Dr. O'Connor suggested dental implant. However, before the implant I needed orthodontics. He took care of the orthodontic treatment too.
Dr. O'Connor is not only an excellent dentist, but also a very nice gentlemen. His appointments are exact, no waiting. The procedures are painless. He pays careful attention to the details, and explains everything in advance. There are no surprises.
The cost is probably at fair market value. Dr. O'Connor is an out-of-network dentist, therefore his services are more expensive than those of in-network dentists. However, I consider Dr. O'Connor's work and services as an investment for the long term. Also, I moved to Dr. O'Connor because I had quality problems with my previous dentist. I don't mind paying more for the quality I receive from Dr. O'Connor.
I highly recommend Dr. O'Connor and his staff, if you want quality work at a professional level in a friendly atmosphere."
About the Hygienist: "Dr. O'Connor's hygienist Cathy is not only a pleasant person, but also she is very conscientious. My gum needs special care because I have inherited a propensity for gingivitis. "Having just moved to Saint Louis bought a lot of anxiety regarding changing dentists, but I am now at home. Dr. O'Connor is highly educated, down to earth, approachable and honestly makes your concerns his first priority. My initial evaluation consisted of an hour with Dr. Tom one on one discussing MY goals and agenda rather than his, examining my current state of dental health, and deciding together on my options for further care.
Since my initial visit I can say that in all my dental work, multiple measures were taken to ensure my comfort and that all procedures were performed with as little discomfort as possible. I have yet to undergo a procedure that was not first explained to me in length to ensure I knew what was anticipated both medically and financially.
Which brings me to his staff, who are efficient, respectful and friendly. I am always greeted by a smile and a person who knows my name. For dental care that is top notch Dr. O'Connor is the dentist you're trying to find. I am lucky to be his patient."

"When I moved to St. Louis over 20 years ago and was looking for a new dentist, I was referred to Dr. O'Connor by a friend and have remained an extremely satisfied patient ever since. I've experienced a couple dental issues over the years aside from routine care and repairs such as cleanings, fillings, and an occasional crown - specifically, TMJ and orthodontics as an adult. Dr. O'Connor was thorough in his diagnoses, including consulting with other experts specific to my care. Dr. O'Connor and his staff remain abreast of the latest techiques and technologies, and regularly update their skill sets through participation in professional associations and courses.
I'm not nearly as compliant or diligent about dental care as I should be. "Tom has been a friend since high school. He has always been a good man, friendly, generous, kind and caring with a great sense of humor. I've entrusted my family's dental health to Tom and his staff.
When I was a kid I dreaded going to the dentist. I do not fear my dentist today, and neither do my children. The care is great and Tom and his crew do everything to make the experience comfortable and as pain free as possible. We get great care.
Tom and Diane worry about my teeth more than I do. They stress preventive care and taking care of our teeth. They email or send a postcard when someone is due for a cleaning; they follow up after serious dental work.
Tom, Diane, Kathy and Elaina are all wonderful."
About the Hygienist: "I just had my teeth cleaned by Kathy. She worked hard on them, was careful of how I was feeling; I remember thinking this must be mentally and physically demanding. After she explained, advised and answered questions. She made me feel comfortable and I was very happy with the experience. I need to do this semi-annually."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Tom's for over 20 years, and even though I have moved out of the area, I still drive the distance because of the professionalism, knowledge and respect that he and his staff have shown me over the years. Dr. Tom is personable, knowledgeable, conscientious about explaining all the treatment options, and I trust him completely with any dental situation.
I have just completed having my teeth crowned by Dr. Tom and his staff, which was an extensive procedure. Prior to beginning this process, I was presented with a clear and thorough explanation of the steps involved in this plan. I felt very comfortable and confident with the procedure and the results were more than I could have imagined.
Thanks to Dr. Tom, Diane, Kathy, and Elaina, I truly have something to smile about these days!"

"Go to Dr. O'Connor. I'm 55 yrs old and can smile for the first time with without hiding my teeth. My husband and I have had both routine and extensive dental care, including root canals and implants. In my case, I have had misaligned teeth my whole life and a TMJ operation. My teeth finally got to the point where I needed more than routine dental treatment. Dr. Tom helped me arrange everything. We had extensive consultations and determined a plan of action including finding a reasonable orthodontist. He coordinated with the orthodontist to ensure I was getting the best care. He even managed to do a root canal on me while I had braces. (My first root canal - I was scared -I still don't know how he made it pain-free.) . After the orthodontic work it was time for the implant and crowns. Everything went wonderfully.
Whenever my husband and I have had extensive treatment, we always get a follow-up call. I even got Dr. O'Connor's private phone number in case of emergency. He really does care about the patient.
Dr. O'Connor's office will work with you on your schedule.
The entire office is concerned about your wellbeing. You don't feel like a patient. You are part of a team dedicated to your dental health."

"My family and I have been patients of Dr. Tom for about 26 years. We are very much pleased with the dental care we've received from him and his staff that has included a wide range of maintenance and remedial procedures. He stays current and his patients benefit in advances in dental care and technology. Plus an addition and very pleasant aspect of his practice is the concern and compassion he shows for our comfort. Some examples of his extra effort was joining me at a 6:30 AM conference with another dental specialist for some advanced procedures and staying an 1 1/2 hour past office hours on a Friday for a root canal to get me through the weekend. His staff function in this same spirit of concern for all their patients!!"

"Wow, I don't even know where to start! I have been going to Dr. O'Connor for about 8 years now and I am so happy to tell everyone about this particular dental office! This place is so great, from the minute I walked thru the door everything was spotless and clean, smelled wonderful (not like the typical dental office) and there were warm smiles everywhere. There was even a candle burning at the front desk, just like a spa! Everyone was so willing to make me feel comfortable and at ease! I have had some work done and I have to tell you, it was actually easy, I watched a movie while I had the work done, and even got covered with a blanket when I got a chill. Everything was completely painless and comfortable. Dr. O'Connor made everything so simple by taking his time and explaining the procedure and being overall so patient with everything he did. I would truly reccommend this office to anyone, this is definitely the office to be at, it excells in every way. Dr. O'Connor thank you so much for taking such good care of me, and I actually look forward to seeing you soon for my checkup :)"
About the Hygienist: "Kathy the hygienst is so easy to talk to and so very through when it comes to my cleaning appointments. I have had some questions about taking the best care of my mouth, and no matter what, I feel, I could never ask a dumb question, she takes her time and explains everthing I should be doing to keep my mouth in the best shape possible. She even shows me how to floss and brush the best way, And, the best part is, she is so GENTLE! I definitely look forward to getting my teeth cleaned."

"Over the past 25 years, I have had just about every procedure done to my teeth that is possible. Fillings, root canals, crowns, and recently an implant as well as esthetic front teeth crowns. I have sat in his chair for upwards of 3 hours while he has worked his magic and I was treated to a movie!
Dr. O'Connor's dentistry is phenomenal, but more importantly, his chair-side manner and genuine concern for his patients is the best I have experienced in any type of professional relationship. He has gone out of his way to make me absolutely comfortable with the most routine and the most complicated procedures, before and after they take place.
I have a new smile as a result of having esthetic front teeth crowns fitted and could not be happier. Throughout all these years, I have never had any problems with any of the procedures, and have been fortunate to have such a delightful, concerned, and honest dentist."
About the Hygienist: "If there were only more Kathys in this world, we would all be smiling, giggling, and have the best looking teeth every day. My entire treatment plan, which was to run over some 6 months, was planned to my schedule, never forced or rushed, including an implant went perfectly with zero pain. The office is never over-booked. I am always in the chair within a few minutes of when I walk in the office.
Dr. Tom and wife Diane, who runs the front desk, are a dream team. Warm and genuine, they regularly call me the evening after treatment to check up on me. Although I can't compare the cost to other offices, my impressions are they are normal. Diane has often offered to help with insurance or billing matters and makes sure I understand everything that is happening. "I have always thought my smile was my best feature, so when aging dentistry began to break down, I felt like I was losing my "window to the world" and needed to do something about it. I checked reviews and interviewed other dentists before choosing to have my extensive crown work done by Dr. Tom O'Connor. It was obvious from our initial interview that he was extremely thorough, evaluating each tooth and describing the existing condition of the tooth, its current gold or porcelain repair, and the prognosis for restoration. In all, Dr. Tom restored more than 20 badly deteriorated teeth, most with ceramic crowns. Since the work was so extensive, it was done by section, with the front teeth first. The compliments came immediately! Whether I smiled more, or the smiles just looked better, I knew I had made the right decision. Not only did my teeth look great; the O'Connors even checked up on my well-being each evening following a procedure - to me this showed they care about their patients. Diane not only made sure the proper insurance information was available, but she even stamped and mailed each statement! In short, while I can't say it was fun, I can say that I am VERY happy with the results, and can't thank Dr. Tom enough!"

"I have had Dr. Tom O'Connor as my dentist and orthodontist since I was 3 years old. He has done my braces, cavities, and everything else I have ever needed my whole life. I remember going into his office when I was a child and having a ton of fun even though I was so young and the dentist was always a scary place to go, but I have always loved going to the dentist and that's because of Dr. Tom. The entire office is great and I still enjoy myself every time I have an appointment. After 18 years, and him watching me grow up, it's turned into more of a social event when I go in for an appointment as opposed to just a dental appointment. Kathy the dental hygienist is fantastic and always makes sure I keep flossing and she keeps a very comfortable atmosphere with her patients.
I still get compliments on how great my teeth look because of my braces and I have Dr. Tom to thank for that. He really makes his patients priority and now since I go away to college and I had a recent problem, they made every effort to get me in as soon as possible and take care of me. And that's what really makes Dr. Tom and his office so special. So, Thank you Dr. Tom, Kathy, and Diane! See you in 6 months!"

"I originally went to Dr. O'Connor in a desperate situation. A terrible toothache woke me in the middle of the night. I got on the internet and found this website. I read the superb reviews of Dr. O'Connor and emailed him a message. To my surprise he called early the next morning to discuss my dental problem and fit me into his very busy schedule that day.
I have been extremely impressed by the professionalism and care that is shown to patients by Dr. O'Connor and his entire staff. Dr. O'Connor spent a good deal of time learning of my dental history and determining current issues. He then took a lot of time explaining things to me and going over various options. (I have never had a dentist spend this much time talking with me.)
We decided that the best course of action for me was to get two implants. The implant surgery was well-planned and I felt well-prepared as to what would take place. The surgery itself was painless and the staff made me feel at ease and comfortable during the entire procedure. I was back to my regular routine by the end of the day.
I have since been back for regular check-ups and cleanings and am always very satisfied and happy. Going to the dentist is no longer something I dread."

Dr. O'Connor also has a generous installment payment policy which has allowed me to get needed care without going broke. Dr. O'Connor recently replaced 3 worn out silver childhood fillings with gold inlays & fixed 2 cavities with gold inlays. He explained how much more durable gold is compared to a tooth-colored covering because I have a strong bite. The insurance reimbursement policy is timely and smooth. When Dr. O'Connor became a non-prefered provider for Delta Dental, I stayed with him because he and I determine the best course of treatment, and not the insurance company. I received significant reimbursement even as a non-preferred plan patient. I would recommend Dr. O'Connor to anyone."

He came in on a sunday and fixed my front tooth I knocked out hours before my cousins wedding and said it was no big deal. He is one of the very few people i can recommend without any worry. He doesent try to sell you anything you dont need either. The whole staff is great. SERIOUSLY, your done looking, go see him!"

"Tom is a great Dentist with a magical painless touch. He's truly a "your health first" doctor. The first time I went to Tom's office, he advised a proceedure to save my teeth. At that time I couldn't afford it. He said not to worry, we would work something out. Needless to say it's twenty years later and I'm sitll with him. He's not only my Dentist, he's a good friend."

"I have had a variety of procedures performed at Dr. O'connor's office. I have had a root canal, several teeth capped, and other routine procedures. Two weeks ago, Dr. O'Connor did an alloderm graft on 3 teeth to cover tooth surfaces which if not covered, would eventually lead to tooth loss. The entire process from preconsultation through ongoing post operative checkups has been done in a very professional and caring manner. After the procedure, I was given very explicit instructions as to care and given Dr. O'Connor's home phone number in case a problem arose after office hours. I received a call that evening from Dr. O'Connor just to make sure that I was doing well. I appreciate the professionalism of the entire staff and the caring and concern that they all show."

"My entire family uses Dr O'Connor. He fully explains the procedure, is completely painless and his treatment is comprehensive. He Staff if friendly and professional. An extra benefit is the professional timing of the appointments. I have never waited more than 10 seconds to be greated at the door nor more than 3 minutes before treatment was begun. I first class experience all the way.
If I have a serious procedure, I actually get a call asking how I'm feeling. This Doctor should teach Dental school in procedure managment."

"In 19 years, I have had 1 or 2 root canals, 2 or 3 crowns, and multiple fillings. He is always sensitive to any possible pain or discomfort, is very comfortable to talk with, and very thorough. After one extensive treatment, Dr. O'Connor game me his home phone number and emphasized that I shouldn't hesitate to call if I had any problems or concerns over the weekend. In addition, he has treated both of my children since their first visits around age 2 (they are now teenagers) - they don't have any anxiety at all about dental appointments, and I think that is due largely to their very positive experiences at Dr. O'Connor's office. I trust his judgement implicitly, and his staff is extremely competent and friendly."

Very professional and friendly staff.
Dr. O'Connor is the best. I still remember my first appointment.
His office was quiet and makes you feel relaxed right away.
I was pleasantly surprised how personal and professional our relationship has gotten in the first five minutes . He actually cared about me and what I wanted.
He educated me on things that I wanted to know and then some more.
He takes pride in his work and he is very passionate about it.
He and his team are constantly learning and improving.
If you want a great smile - I would reccomend you go see him for advice."

"Dr. Tom is a wonderful dentist and has an excellent bedside manner! His treatment plans are easy to follow and provide incredible results. As a child, I loved going to see him and my experiences there have only gotten better over the years. I am expecting my first child soon and will take him to see Dr. Tom as well. As a teenager, his encouragement helped me to take responsibility over my own dental health. His costs are not only reseaonable, but he provides you with the paperwork necessary to send to your insurance company. I would not go anywhere else!!"

"The words "dentist" and "relaxed" are rarely associated. However, Dr. O'Connor is an exception. Why? When you walk into his offices, you are greeted personally by friendly front desk staff; the hygenists are thorough, gentle and give very helpful advice on the daily care of your teeth; and the personable Dr. O'Connor is an extremely fine dental practitioner. Over the years, he has done several crowns for me, and there has never been a spot of trouble with any of them. Because of the wonderful dental treatment I receive, I am assured that I will have healthy teeth and gums for the rest of my life. On a scale of 1 to 10, Dr. O'Connor and his staff are at the very top."

My family and I have been going to Dr. Tom for 27 years, we have never had a bad experience. For the more stressful appointments I was able to watch a video and zone out the noise. Going to a dental appointment will never be my favorite thing but I don't mind going to Dr. Tom!"

"Dr. O'Connor had done miracles for my teeth. I have been with him for about 15 years. I am 60 years old and I have had several dentists work on my teeth and when I went to Dr. O'Connor my teeth were in bad shape with temporary fixes from the other dentists. Dr. O'Connor restored my teeth for long term . I have had some cosmetic work done on my upper front teeth and boy can I smile for you. Dr, O'Connor and his office staff has shown me how to take care of my teeth with the correct was of brushing and flossing. Dr. O'Connor wants you to take responsibility for your teeth and when you go back for your checkups they tell you what a great job you have done. I cannot thank them enough. Dr. O'Connor and his staff keep upgrading the office with the most comfortable seating and equipment for his patients. He takes pride in his work as the same you would take pride in your work. I thank you again for my great smile."

"Highly recommend. I' ve been going to Dr. O'Connor for 25 years. I was previously a dental asst, and fairly critical when assessing dental care. Dr O'Connor keeps up on the latest advances in dentistry, routinely participates in advanced education. He is expert on implants. He can handle almost any dental issue and also very important, knows when to consult or refer you to a specialist. Office staff also great - very compentent, helpful, friendly.
He recently performed an implant on me, which was very successful. (I was a little apprehensive due to what I've read in the past or heard from friends). He educated me about the process and recommended websites where I could learn more. The implant was complete months ago and is just like a real tooth.
Dr.O'Connor no longer participates in my company's dental health plan and so is now more expensive than if we changed to a dentist in the plan. We thought about it, but decided to stay with him. He is worth the extra money, especially since we occassionally have more than routine dental issues. (his office helps by filling out the dental claim paperwork).
He is professional, highly knowledgeable in his field, friendly, committed to pain-free dentistry."

"I have received dental treatments from Dr. O'Connor for almost 8 years now. I am not a family or personal friend, but continue to drive out to his office, even though I no longer live in the area. His staff treat me like family, remember my personal information and make me feel at home every appointment. Dr. O'Connor makes plans for me and my dental work, and always is understanding when we have to adjust a treatment period due to personal dates or finances. His work is extremely quality and I have never, in 8 years, had to return to him with unsatisfied. He has given me excellent references for dentists' for my children or specialists for myself. I would recommend Dr. O'Connor and his staff to anyone looking for a dentist in town!"posted: 10/11/2006 7:08 PM
